Fine french bassoon Dubois et Couturier
The partnership between Emmanuel Dubois and Jacques Couturier under the "DUBOIS & COUTURIER" will last at least 1828 to 1837. They employed 12 workers luthiers in 1834 and 10 in 1835. Subsequently, the various social reasons stamped on the instruments will be: - 1838-1847 DUBOIS & Cie - 1848-1851 DUBOIS & Projean - 1853-1854 DUBOIS Couturier specialized in brass and Emmanuel Dubois, son and successor of Charles Rust, in the woods; they could well be versatile and complementary in providing instruments for the army at the same time as in Lyon houses Sautermeister and Muller.
